Smell

Welcome to the world of SMELL

Interestingly, this is a sense that can be commonly dysfunctional. Some people are super sensitive to smell, while other struggle.

I wonder if this has something to do with the fact that smell is the only sense that’s pathway runs through the Limbic brain!

That means smell can trigger emotions and memories. And why Aromatherapy is a thing! Scent can heal just as it can trigger!

So as you’re turning on your awareness of smell today and tomorrow, notice emotions and memories that are triggered. And also what scents are aversions and what are alluring! I

Touch & Feel

Who’s ready to explore TOUCH and FEEL??? One of my favourites.

I’m not going to direct you much around this one. But will remind you how much oxytocin is activated through our hands!

And don’t forget the non-discriminative touch/feel. Beyond the physical.

Auditory

So today is Auditory Sense Day!

  • What are you hearing?

  • Connect to sound: nature, music, voices, white noise.

  • Find depth in the layers of sound

  • Notice your clairaudience: your inner voice. Listen to your guidance and inner knowingness. What’s it telling you?

  • Are you active listening in conversations? Are you present to another’s words?

  • Are you reading between the lines or overanalysing what you are hearing?

  • What does silence feel like?

  • What about the space in between?

Lots to play with!! Enjoy!

Vision

Today, we continue to explore the visual sense. And I invite you to exercise your ‘third eye’.

A simple way to do this is with your eyes closed, gazing upwards to your third eye (without straining). You’ll notice black and white specks. Try to allow more white than black (again without straining) and notice any imagery that arises. You might see animals, shapes or people etc. Just notice. And allow it to make sense in its owni way without analysing.

Vision

For today & tomorrow I would love you to take up the challenge to be intentional about what information comes through your VISUAL field.

Be an interested observer (without judgement or analysis) at the capacity of this sense to perceive and discern environmental input.

What do you notice? Does it take effort/strain? Can you see beyond the 3 dimensional?
